About Us
The Association of Professional Bankers in Education (APBE) was established in 2013 by members of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) within the education sector during the Institute’s Annual General Meeting. Since its formation, APBE has remained committed to promoting the goals of CIBN by fostering intellectual engagement and providing academic support. APBE serves as a vibrant intellectual platform for banking and finance scholars, driving the advancement of knowledge in the field.
At APBE, we are committed to supporting the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria by fostering rigorous academic discourse and offering a strong foundation for the Capacity Building and Certification Directorate of the Institute. In today’s rapidly evolving banking industry, intellectual development is essential for sustained growth, and we strive to ensure that banking professionals are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
APBE provides a dynamic intellectual platform for banking and finance scholars. Our members benefit from a variety of opportunities for professional development, including research initiatives, conferences, training programs, workshops, and publications. Through these activities, we aim to cultivate a vibrant community of scholars and practitioners who contribute to the advancement of banking education in Nigeria.
VISION: To be a reliable self-regulating association promoting cooperation within the Banking and education industry respectively in Nigeria for the satisfaction of its members and a renowned association of excellence in professionalism in banking.
MISSION: To foster transparency, encourage debate, good governance, and best international by promoting standards of professional competency and level of skills in banking and the research services in Nigeria.
